The picture above is a good example of the power of the Raynox MSN500 macro/close up lens. It's showing a magnification of about 90X to 120X. The enlargement corresponds to the small yellow rectangular area around the eye of the women on the postcard that's on the lower left corner. This postcard was printed in collotype, a screenless reproduction technique that didn't use half-tone dots, ca. early 1900s.

This kind of enlargement used to require a full-blown microscope.
